PC dual USB stereo camera demo

Three-window stereo view: LEFT, RIGHT, and integrated 3D overlay.

Mount two USB cameras rigidly at 100 mm baseline. Verify camera assignment, calibrate with a ruler, then measure pipe / coin diameter and depth from matched points.

Simple operator flow

Start dual USB cameras.
Confirm physical LEFT appears in the LEFT window.
Calibrate with a 100 mm / 150 mm ruler.
Measure diameter using two matching edges.

Superimposed measurement view

This top window combines the two cameras. It gives the stereo / 3D effect, alignment check, and measurement overlay. Use individual windows below when you want clearer left/right point picking.

Calibration not applied yet For a demo, ruler calibration is enough. For production metrology, use checkerboard intrinsic/extrinsic calibration and stereo rectification.

Important: fixed baseline alone is not enough for accurate measurement. Recalibrate whenever camera angle, focus, zoom, lens, resolution, or physical mount changes. Keep the camera pair rigid after calibration.
